ABOUT THE ARTIST:
AMBER KANE
I’ve been involved in art programs inside and outside of school since Kindergarten. I’ve taken classes primarily in school but for two years I took art classes at the Michener Museum in Doylestown. I’m very involved with the school’s art program and help with shows whenever I can. I love being able to express myself through my artwork. It allows me to cope with how I feel about things.
With my artwork I hope to someday open my own studio as a side business. It would be a huge personal accomplishment. My studio would also offer evening classes for young and aspiring artists. I hope I can someday bring the same joy to others the joy I bring myself with my art.
Throughout school I’ve gotten a handful of recognition awards and certificates for my artwork. I’ve had paintings hung in Down to Earth Cafe and various local art galleries. My family and friends have always encouraged me to do my best and always stick with what I care about.
Outside of school, I’m very passionate about my physical and mental health. I go to the gym four times a week and try my best to eat healthy. I was a dancer from when I was 18 months old until 17 years old. I had to quit dance because it was too time consuming with AP art and photo class. However, even though I’m not in a dance studio with a company I still love dancing by myself around the house.
